- 30 mn. to unpack, install, plug, setup, heat and print on Unix/Cups-1.4.3 system (.ppd on the net). Cups recognize immediatly Xerox3250 on your net. No CD required, nothing to do, just plug, add your printer and ppd, and print. - full web admin, very easy to use. - Very quick, very silent. - PS3 and PCL5 & 6 supported. - Don't expect a fine/high print quality on large n&b picture (seeing some discret gray ruber) - very good product for letter print, office and home use. - Nice job, thanks for this excellent and professionnal product.

I have had my Phaser 3250 for about 20 months. I bought it for business use, but we are a small office, so it probably only prints 100-150 pages per week. It wasn't fast, but I was happy with it until its first toner cartridge ran out, which, by the way, was about 3 days after the machine came out of warranty. When I put in a new toner cartridge, the Phaser started printing poorly. I called Xerox tech help and they sent me a new cartridge. Cartridge # 2 was leaking toner, so I called again, and they sent me another cartridge. Cartridge # 3 did not print properly either, but the printing problem was not the same as the problem with the first bad cartridge. I put in a couple more replacement cartridges, and the machine performance changed with each cartridge. Finally, a tech person informed me that a bad cartridge can corrupt the printer driver and I should install a new driver. So I did that, and it seemed to solve the problem. Everything was great for 6 months. Then I ran out of toner again. This time, the duplexer stopped working (it had worked fine until I put in a new cartridge), and the Phaser started skipping sheets and occasionally printing a heavy black line at the top of the sheet. Before calling Xerox, I installed a new driver, but it didn't solve the problem. I spoke to tech service and to a Xerox service person, and I tried two more toners, and the problem has remained. I have no idea what's going on, but I have trouble believing that the duplexer broke just as I was installing a new toner. Even if it did, a well-built machine should not be breaking after 1-1/2 years of light office use. We are limping along with it for now (and not duplexing) because I don't want to pay a big repair bill, but I will definitely not be buying any more Xerox machines.
No, I would not recommend this to others.

Excellent print quality.
The only Cons I have are when you turn the paper to print on the back side, unless you have it dead on straight, it will crinkle (it's not as easy as it seems). Also, when doing envelopes, it crinkles the envelop plus seals it shut...sometimes, if you're lucky, you can pry it open. I've pretty much given up and use the typewriter for addressing envelopes. Thinking of getting some parchment paper or something so see it it'll work.
I would recommend this for basic printing as long as you don't do two-sided printing and envelopes.
I would recommend this to others.

I bought the Phaser 3250 a year and a half ago. I like its print quality, speed, and its lack of noise. The downside to using this printer is that it overheats quickly, especially when extensively using 2-sided printing.
I would recommend this to others.

I looked for laser because of quality of black and white printing. I selected Xerox because it is a well known brand. Quality from printer is excellent. If there is one thing I wish it had, it would be a feeder from the back that does not roll over the paper. This would be good for printing on envelopes where a rolled envelope is an ugly envelope.
I would recommend this to others.

I have found that the Xerox Phaser 3250 is a simple printer to use. It prints clearly with good resolution. It's hard to beat the low price of the printer as well!

We received 4 of these printers at our location and all 4 of them failed shortly after they were put into use. This had to have been an error on Xerox's part as the problem seemed to be related to the toner cartridges that were SHIPPED WITH THE PRINTERS causing a solid red light to come on and the printer would no longer respond. The toner cartridges that we received did not have the gold contacts that corresponded to the gold contacts inside the printer. This resulted in several hours of dealing with tech support calls and unpacking and repacking printers for shipping. Then, we had to order the new style print cartridges before we could resume printing as we had already disposed of the old printers that were replaced. This was the worst experience with a printer model I have ever had. I am hoping that they now hold up for future use as the fiasco CAUSED BY XEROX led to us now having a 90-day warranty on the replacement machines.

I use this printer everyday, it prints fast, which saves me time. It prints high quality copies and I love that the ink cartridge lasts for a long time, that saves me money. I use regular copy paper and envelopes with this unit and everything prints smoothly. However in the past when I have tried to print on heavier paper and/or postage labels (adhesive on one side), the printer jammed constantly and gave off a strange smell, I use a different printer for those types of papers. Works great and I would buy another, happy with this product.
I would recommend this to others.

This has been a great printer for our office. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is that paper will sometimes get caught in the printer, but I suspect that has more to do with kinds of paper than with the printer itself. Print quality is excellent! Speed is good when duplexing, and excellent on one-page printing.
I would recommend this to others.

Our decision to buy this printer was based upon the reputation of Xerox and the Phaser brand names. It was quite a bit more than other printers with comparable features. When first installed it worked okay, but made creaking and other noises we did not expect. Occassionally it would jam and the trouble light would come on. We tried different (more expensive) paper which did not seem to help. The same paper we were using fed through our other machines without any problems. Lately it started pulling the paper half way in and stop. After turning it off and back on it would shoot the paper out and stop with a trouble light on. Fussing with it would eventually get it printing again. Then it would act as if it were printing and the page would be blank. We tried changing cartridges with no chane in performance. It is now of no use to us at all. We are all tired of fussing with it to get it to print. It is unusable and a big big disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to others.

Overall I'm very happy with our Phaser 3250s, the design is simple and understated but yet attractive and even stylish. It performs well for even large print jobs, and the print quality stays even and consistent regardless of how large the document is. The unit's light weight makes it easy move from place to place if necessary, and the print driver controls are easy to understand in case you need to adjust any settings, though most of the time the default settings work just fine. The unit's simple design makes it easy to clear paper jams, which on this unit is remarkably a rare occurrence, and changing toner cartridges is a breeze since there are no pesky tabs to pull or remove. As I stated at the beginning, overall I'm very happy with our Phaser 3250s.

At a value price this is by far the best auto-duplex printer we have used. A workhouse of a printer as we use it everyday at a load of 200 pages plus a day. Toner is easy to replace and it's compact size makes it idea for a desktop printer.
