If the software were better, I would recommend the unit. The biggest problem is resetting the machine after a problem. Eg: i the wrong size paper or most any problem except out-of-paper causes an error display, I have to turn the power off and restart it. The stop reset button does nothing.
Also scanning is a continuous nuisance. If I want to scan several pages of a document , EVERY time, I have to select scan from feeder.and every time I must select letter size. Who uses legal documents? Certainly not the legal profession in which I work. Sometimes after I have scanned something, I get a cannot communicate with the printer, and I have to turn the power to get my computer to communicate.
For many problems there is no reset except to power down and up, meaning wasting precious minutes

I recently purchased a new Dell computer with windows 7 o/s operating
system.The software that came with Phaser 6115 MFP will not work
on windows 7 O/S I tryed to download a driver for this model from Xerox
found out none available. I was able to download a print driver for
my Phaser 6130 printer.I am very disappointed with 6115 MFP
no print driver for Windows 7 o/s

This product was originally purchased in late 2007. Overall it has been great. Although we have never had it serviced so now the rollers are beginning to cause documents to not feed straight and/or jam the machine. One negative is the warm up time once the machine sits in sleep mode. This has been a great multi service machine and I would buy another upgrade model.
I would recommend this to others.

The major problem with this machine is the time the unit takes to "wake up" and start printing. Once it starts, speee is OK but in a small office where I am printing multiple documents not long runs of one document, this is a major negative.

as a freebie with the lease-purchase of WC 5030, this was a great deal. It prints well, but is slow especially in color with paper's four passes over drums. It is not easy to use and so is only used for the few times color printing is needed. The replacement toners are very expensive. In all a machine that fills its needs.
I would recommend this to others.

To quote an old watch commercial, this unit takes a licking & keeps on ticking - with great results! We put a lot of demands on this printer, but it produces sharp graphics with lots of easy to use features.

At first I was concerned as the the need of the diversity this machine fooers. However within five working days there were no more questions!!! The 6115 MFP far exceeds what I had invisioned, plus going beyond the scope of so many others I have used in other office setrtings.
This 6115MFP has spoiled me to the point when I am at other offices and have to use their equipment, it's hard to get past the fact theirs is not what I'm use to, then I have to deal with what and how it produces what you need. ( not as professional looking)
I would recommend this to others.

The printer worked fine, but we had issues with the ADF unit. Xerox swapped it out once, but again we had trouble with it. Eventually, they replaced it with another Xerox model # 6180MFP. However, now this one is out of warranty and we are again have problems with the ADF. Its leaves a streak on the page if you scan using the ADF. If you place the paper on the flatbed, it scans just fine. Something is inherently not right with the ADF unit.
No, I would not recommend this to others.

We have used the Phaser 6115 in our office now for about 3 years and it has performed very well. The only complaint I have is that it is slow to start sometimes and is kind of loud but no complaints with printing and copying performance.
I would recommend this to others.

I have been using my 6115MFP for 3 years and I absolutely love it! It is easy to use and maintain. I can personally troubleshoot problems and fix them almost immediately. I make a lot of copies, and my machine has maintained my work load very well. Major breakdowns do not occur; sometimes paper james do, but they are very easy to fix, and most of them are caused by my own fault(s). Changing the cartridges is a snap - and when most of us have demanding work schedules, we want a machine that is definitely user friendly. The 6115MFP fits into this category!

I loved this machine when I got it.It has great quality, it's speedy, it duplexes, it has high capacity, but it has a fatal flaw. I have two of these MFP 6115-D, as my first machine was warrantied out because it had an electronic shut down, and a "Service Call" error code come up on the digital readout. Whenever the machine would get warm from many short runs, or a single long run of 50-100 copies it would jam. After clearing the jam, the machine recycled, and went to "Service Call" error code. I thought the first machine had an unfixable part or problem, but the replacement machine, has the exact same problem. My only work around is to turn the power off, let the machine totally cool down, (sometimes overnight), and then power up again. My small office business now owns two Phaser 6115 MFP-D's that have the same electronic flaw.. I still love this product, but it is a lemon of a design.

The only good thing about owning this machine has been the support provided by Xerox over the phone. It often missfeeds; the toner is very expensive and codes are hard to clear. None of the major office supplie stores carry Xeroz toners so when I run out I have to wait for a mail-order to arrive. This model only does one-sided printing and the fax feature does not work well. When I print flyers I have to print one side, reload the paper and print the other side. The problem is that the paper "warps" and it jams or will not feed properly. I end up feeding a few pages at a time causing a long waste of time.
I thought I was buying the best when I ordered this machine but I have been unhappy with it from the beginning. I should have returned it to Costco within the first month or two of purchasing it.

Envelopes: 1. The feeder for envelopes usually does not feed envelopes (size 10) without needing intervention because of a jam. 2. When they do feed and print the envelopes are pretty badly creased. 3. It is annoying to have to switch the inside settings of the roller pressure from paper mode to envelope mode whenever I want to print on an envelope.
Tonor changing: This works pretty well.
Scanning: The process for entering a scan destination is a bit convoluted. The machine should have a memory of locations to which I routinely scan and send.
Software Updtes: How do I update firmware? Does it do this itself. I have no idea.
NOTE: I had originially purchased this to try it out so I could recommend and sell it to small businesses in the area. However, the relatively slow speed and the envelope issus arehave caused me to not recommend it.
