Talk about under promise and over deliver! Anybody that needs a business quality printer should consider this. It runs and runs, efficiently and quickly. I don't think there is anything better on the market for a small business that requires substantial quantities.
The ease of use and color quality of the dry ink technology leaves those ink jets in the dust. This is my second 8560.
I would recommend this to others.

We have had this as our main printer for over 3 years. The only minor problem we have had is that the dispay on the printer started to fail and was out of warranty. Xerox sent us the necessary part and directions on how to replace this at NO CHARGE. The printer has never failed to print and the print colors are excellent. We print photographs of the furniture we sell and they are always true to the colors they represent. We tried generic ink once and immediately went back to the Xerox ink because of the much better color on the OE ink. I would recomend a Xerox printer to anyone in the market for a reasonably priced, dependable printer that produces great quality prints.

My company has owned six of these printers over the years, and we currently have four in use. For the price per page you can't beat this printer's quality and speed. We use them for everything from printing high volume office jobs for our wholesale division to printing full color brochures and signs for use at our retail garden centers. These printers also stand up well to abuse. One of our Phaser 8560s is in a production area where is exposed to high levels of dust, but it has worked perfectly since we installed it two years ago.
I would recommend this to others.

And theres a reason people have more than one. They last about two months out of warranty, and the cost to repair is about as much as a new unit. Fantastic color, until your print head goes out and burns through almost $600 of ink sticks and your lifecycle is less than 8,000 pages on the unit. Or it's really awesome when you can't seem to remove the print smears for more than 18 or 20 pages of print, but I suppose if you're only going to print five or six photos, and run the "remove print smears" function, and then print five or six more photos and run another "remove print smears" function, It'd be the perfect printer for you. I'm going back to a toner machine.

Hi,
I want to know about a page, after i turn on my printer - Xerox Phaser 8560DN -
print unnecessarily, a sheet of paper with colored comics, consuming too much wax cartridge.
Some technicians were already in place and the problem was partially solved, because the 3 printouts, now only one is printed, which has already been a progress :-).
I would like to know how to prevent this impression permanently.

The pros for this printer is it is fast and the color is consistent, quality not photographic-noticeable dots, good for graphic design type and ink is efficient. After a year it broke down-broken print head-luckily purchased from a local business system that I paid extra for a maintenance plan -which covered this repair for a $130. Now a year later- printer almost 3 years old breaks again- printer head repair - $1000- which I will not repair. Perhaps I got a lemon- but the quality is junk for breaking that fast- and to boot-I do not print huge amounts! Also the printer was constantly printing code- after each file that I print I would have to switch usb hubs to prevent the printing in code- I wasted so much paper from this malfunction! I installed all the lastest drivers on my Mac and a PC. It did it to both- so I knew it was the printer no the computer. That said I do not recommend this printer- cost was $900- definitely not worth the money!

having the same issues, after 1 print i get over 30 pages of code, perhaps i purchsed the wrong model as i use it once a week for a few prints..quality is good but....

There are two series of firmware for this device. Why? I have no idea. The firmware seems to get corrupt after awhile for no apparent reason and Xerox has to come to rewrite it. There seems to be a memory leak as after two weeks to two months of printing (depends on how heavily it is used) larger jobs get an error page printed instead of the job. Cycling the power clears the symptom as reprinting the same job finally works. Drivers seem to get corrupt randomly and we have to delete them from the PC via Printers / Server Properties / Drivers and reinstall from the print server to fix. Not happy. Also, one must print the cleaning page frequently as blotches appear at inopportune times.
No, I would not recommend this to others.

At first it seemed to take a looooooong time before anything happened on this MFP, but now that we know that the solid ink has to melt first, we know what to expect. And, of course, we loooooove the print quality. Beautiful!

This machine has good print quality and I like the variety of materials that can be printed, but it jams a lot when you try to run thicker stock through it.
I would recommend this to others.

help me and my school please

I msut be the only disappointed person then, I bought this printer only ever used it once and ever sincce never printed again. It doesn't even allow me to get to the control panel to print the configuration page.
It also has an error on it that won't let me press the help button on it.

It prints excellent quality pictures, though it is little slow.Also I think it is little hard to maintain it. If the printer comes up with an error message, after clearing that message usually it continues to print just fine, even if the message suggests that there is something to be done. Going to the service mode is the way of clearing errors but it is tricky for a regular user to get there. In other words, it is not for non-technical users - they would have to call a service rep every time printer comes up with an error. message

Excellent printer for quick documents. Need to have enhanced set for quality printing even if its just text. Only cons are: not easy to set up between multiple computers, still have yet to figure it out and when you call they are zero help and takes awhile if there is a color adjustment needing to be made, will use up a lot of ink that way and ink is not cheap.
I would recommend this to others.

I purchased the Phaser 8560 Printer just under 2 years ago and already have to replace it. The printer cost me $699 and after 1.5 years of use, the printer died. When I took it to the repair shop, I was told the print head needed to be replaced. The print head cost $800 to replace. I was informed by the repair man that this is a common failure among the Xerox Phaser printers. I am extremely dissatisfied with Xerox and their products. I have had other laser printers last well over 10 years and still work. I will never pruchase another Xerox and the company's response was that it was my fault b/c I didn't purchase an extended warranty with the printer. I teach in a poor school district and we made this purchase to last a long time. We cannot afford to have the printer repaired, nor could we afford to pay yearly warranty fees upwards of $200 per year. Do not buy this product as it will break and Xerox will not stand by it.

The Negatives:
1. On Macintosh You cannot set the printer for black ink only, when one or more color inks need refill. This is inconvenient and irritating.
2. The printer wastes expensive solid ink whenever the power is interrupted-even for a very short time. A partial fix is to purchase and connect the printer to a non-interruptible power supply ($100.00 + additional overhead cost).

The print quality is fantastic. Beautful ink. I print invitations and they look just the same quality as what you get in a store! I upgraded to a 8570 and I wish I had not done that. It does not work as well.

However, Xerox shouler give these away for nothing because the dry ink crayons are so expensive and need refilling sooner than later.
I do love the image quality and the ease of refilling the ink. It's not messy at all.

I have owned a Phaser 8560 for 4 years now and it is still going strong. I have regularly maintained the unit according to the operating instructions and it is an amazing printer.
I am very happy that I invested in a Xerox product as it has proven itself to be worth the money.

We have several of these at the university I work at. Overall they work very well. The ink is easy to deal with and maintaining the printer is a snap. The only caveat I have is this machine is fussy when trying to print on non-standard media like card stock or special paper. That's minor, though, and I certainly recommend the printer to anyone who will be doing typical printing on standard paper sizes and types.
I would recommend this to others.

Up until now, I really am supportive of the wax ink, low toxic, low waste ink method. I do think that a lot of energy still is wasted in keeping the machine warm during off times and wish it could go into a more energy efficient sleep mode.
The printer in general has been good in a school environment with multi-users having to be cooperative about loading their special papers at times.
I did buy this printer on sale, and had an earlier version of a Xerox Phaser in use.
Near warranty end, our printer just broke down, and I hope warranty will be honored. I just received a major error message just as our 1 year warranty is coming due. Online I read it may have to do with a cam in the drum gear mechanism, but we will see how the support team responds.
I would still recommend this style printer to others, and intend to strongly consider continuing purchasing them.

HP, Brother and Epson can't compete with this printer. I've used them all and this is the best. In quality and ease of use you can't beat it.
