Our compay owns several Xerox Phaser 8560 MFP machines. They are used constantly and do a really good job. The color copies are especially good! I can't imagine a company or individual not being happy with this product.

Not only is the Phaser easy to use, it is also relatively compact and very eco-friendly. Overall a great quality All-In-One for ther budget-conscious small office. We use the Phaser to scan and convert our public records into electronic document format. We also use it to print brochures, flyers, advertisements, and the Board Agenda. Very reliable machine. We are very happy with this Xerox product.

Buy this machine only if you are going to print many, many color pages every single day. I bought this at the recommendation of a Xerox regional sales manager. What they didn't tell me, is that if you don't print lots of color every day, the solid-ink technology crayon-type inks, which melt in the print head; they bake, cook, discolor and get dark, just like if you left something in the oven too long. instead of beautiful pages, they look like they were dipped in dirty swamp water.
The only cure is to replace the print head, which is a $1000 component! We are now working with Xerox and their Total Customer Satisfaction Guarantee to replace this unit (at their expense# with a lower-end unit that uses conventional laser cartridges, and doesn't bake the solid #melted) ink. I hope they stand behind their product, and their fellow employees errant recommendation.
Other than that, this would be a great printer for a high volume operation. The colors are phenominal, the quality is awesome, the print speed is fast, and the cost per copy is lower than traditional laser cartridges. You just have to use it a LOT or it won't work for you.

The Phaser 8560 MFP has been nothing but a headache since we purchased it in July 2011. It went through 5 service calls for the same part (the automatic document feeder) in 3 months. The latest replacement works about 70% of the time, when it doesn't auto feed documents, a reboot will sometimes kick start it, but about 50% of the time this is ineffective as well & we have to hand scan in. Our office copies/prints very little (~20pgs/day), & we've spent about $2000 in ink thus far on only 6,000 pages printed. The hardware in the Phaser has trouble communicating with Windows 7 (A note about this, for awhile we had XP, Vista & Windows 7 running with the Phaser and XP didn't have a single issue, Vista was ok and Windows 7 was not its friend), which causes extra time in the installation process and for whatever reason the Phaser will not print out of Tray 2 (The default is set to Tray 2 on the Phaser & on our computers, but it won't stop printing from Tray 1 & it won't feed from Tray 2 when Tray 1 is empty.). The printed pages do look nice and the more environmentally friendly ink is a plus especially since every time we tear it apart from a jam or to clean it, our hands clean very easily. Otherwise, our Phaser is everything the printer they take ballbats to in 'Officespace' embodies. Would not recommend purchasing.

The printer does what it is supposed to do ... Fax, Copy, Scan and Print. However, the color is so far off - even after Xerox came to "fix" it, that it isn't even close. And, of course, since it is out of warranty, they won't service it for the same issue without charging huge fees.. True, BLACK is black, but the rest of the colors are nowhere near what they are supposed to be. A Navy Blue is almost a dull black, bright yellow is a dull light green, red is a putrid orange, a light yellow prints tan. Granted, I'm not printing hundreds of color pages a day, but I probably print out about 500 a month. I'm using it for B&W printing, and for color copies where the color match doesn't truly matter; I've turned back to my dinky little Canon Ink-Jet printer for color work. I used to think Xerox products were good; now I'm very turned off. I don't think I'd ever buy a Xerox product again.

I have had this product for two years and have replace the scaner 7 times, The sleep mode does not work properley, On my 2nd unit, first new unit had so many problems they replaced it with another. When the unit is working correctly it is a good unit. Dont by without keeping the warranty in place, you will need it.

Our office uses our Multi Function Printer day in and day out for routine printing - letters, forms, etc. as well as our special brochures, proposals and flyers. The color is excellent whether it's just a small amount on the page or full color. We are more than happy with the entire line of Xerox printers and have had them for many years. The MFP is one of two Xerox color printers we have in our office and we use them both heavily!

The quality of the print is excellent. Printing or making copies, the quality of the print is such that it is sometimes difficult to tell the original from the copy if you don't keep them separated.
Unfortunately, the print quality is the only saving grace. The problems we have are as follows:
1. Slow to warm-up
2. Slow to print
3. Slow to copy
4. Jams when trying to print 2-sided
5. Jams when copies are being made and someone else sends a document to
be printed
6. When you clear a "print" jam, the machine continues to print the same
document and continues to jam until the person who initiated the print
request clears the request from his/her computer.
7. The envelope feed direction is backwards. The diagram on the envelope
feed suggest you enter it in one direction and it really requires the opposite
direction
8. Faxing is a nightmare (we scan and email because the fax doesn't always
work)
9. We had 4 service calls the first 30 days and two of the calls required new
parts

My experience so far has been great with this mfp. I don't do massive print jobs at all. But I do lots of scanning. SCanning direct to my pc has work without a hitch. The quality of the image has been great. Quality of actuall print jobs have been fantastic as well. I'm overly happy with this device for what little needs I have.

The Phaser 8560 is the first networked multi-function printer to be acquired by our department. Since this is our first, our users are not accustomed to using such advanced features. Because the Phaser 8560 is set up with such ease of use, and we had such great customer service and a wonderful training session, we are able to take advantage of all of the fantastic features! I would highly recommend this product!

I installed my new 8560 and immediately the document feeder didn't work. After replacing that, the scanner also needed to be replaced. Still more problems daily until the main unit had to be replaced. Final straw was the hard drive crash. All in a short span of 2 weeks. Now I am waiting anohter 7-10 days for a replacment machine. I couldn't be more disappointed in the Xerox name and reputation. The service techs, while helpful and courteous, don't really understand the devastating result for a small business not to have a printer/fax/scanner. Our interim solution was to purchase a home printer/scanner while we await our new machine. Extra expense, considerable downtime, extreme inconvenience. Not what we expected from Xerox.

Print quality and speed of printing is great. However, the scanning is absolutely terrible. You could have just printed something and walk up to it to scan and you have to wait for it to warm up. Then once you do scan you have to wait quite a long time for it to appear in the software in order to download the image. The entire unit locks up when doing scanning and trying to download previous scans. It does not have SMB scanning which places the scan in a folder on the network without having to download it.

Prior to switching to the 8560 MFP a year ago we were constantly plagued with paper jams, toner problems and down time for expensive repairs. Our 8560 has performed beautifully--literally no jams, no toner problems and no expensive repairs. We love the ease with which we can load the ink blocks--no messy hands or toner to clean off the printer, the floor, our hands, or our clothes. All of our volunteers love the ease of use of this machine and we have the added bonus of beautiful full color printing. The addition of the 8560 to our office has improved our efficiency, lowered our costs and improved the quality of our printed materials.

The product generally works well, but I have had a lot of issues with it. It seems to jam a lot, and goes through days where it every time you print something it says there is an error message, but the machine will not tell you what is wrong, or how to fix it. The only way to get the printer to work is to turn it off and start over. Other than that, the features it does have are useful and the print quality is generally good.
I would recommend this to others.

This machine does not really scan to email or folder. You have to use the Xerox utility to do so. This is not made clear and can be very upsetting to find out after the purchase.
If this machine is used within it's limits it is a fine unit. The print quality is far superior than anything else in its price range. Use it as a color printer and a convenience copier/scanner/fax and you will be happy.

We at Buy It Right Auto Sales use this product every day. This is the "hub" of our business. When it does not perform we are literally shut down. The staff at customer service is friendly and courteous. Our Sales Representative could be more attentive, but overall I know from past experience that Xerox is a great product.
